26 – 30 October 2026 – Business Focussed
BAE Systems Submarines are pleased to offer this work experience opportunity in our state-of-the-art Submarines Academy for Skills and Knowledge, Barrow-in-Furness.
The experience will include:
- An introduction to the business
- Insight into the Business function
- A chance to discuss career paths with existing staff and apprentices
- Employability workshops and practical activities
- University talks
- A mock interview

Entry Requirements
You must have achieved or be on track to achieve by August 2028.
- 5 GCSE A*-C or 9-4 (or equivalent), including maths and English.
- A minimum of 96 UCAS Tariff Points (240 point old system)(excluding UCAS points gained at AS level) achieved from either:
- 3 A levels
- A L3 Extended BTEC Diploma (which meets the required UCAS points) or equivalent (e.g. T-Level)

Qualification Requirements
This programme is for those 16 – 18 (years 12 & 13).
- You must be in year 12 at time of application, going into year 13 in September, achieving A-levels or equivalent in August 2028.
