Thank you for your interest in applying for work experience at Walhampton School. We offer placements for individuals interested in pursuing a career in education and take pride in being a supportive and forward-thinking school that fosters self-development for everyone.

We regularly provide school and college students the opportunity to gain practical experience in various departments and roles within the School. We work closely with students to tailor their experiences, which can include:

Through this hands-on approach, students can develop new skills, build confidence, and gain valuable insight into potential career paths.

Work experience placements are available throughout the year and typically last for one to two weeks, depending on availability. However, longer placements are also welcome. We encourage students to express their areas of interest so we can align their experience with their career aspirations.

Please note that all requests are subject to availability and must be accompanied by an application form. Students over 16 will require an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
