THIS APPLICATION FORM IS FOR THE OCTOBER HALF TERM BLOCK
At Silverstone, home of the Formula 1 British Grand Prix, we believe in opening doors for young people and helping them explore exciting future careers. Our Work Experience Programme gives students aged 14-18 the chance to go behind the scenes at one of the world’s most iconic venues and immerse themselves in the fast-paced world of motorsport, events and innovation.
Across a structured 5-day experience, students take part in business projects, shadow industry professionals, build confidence and develop skills that will last a lifetime.

Key Responsibilities
- Actively participate in all five days of the programme
- Collaborate within a team to deliver a live business project
- Engage in department shadowing and professional learning sessions
- Contribute ideas, research and creative solutions to real Silverstone challenges
- Prepare and deliver a final group presentation to a professional panel
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
No prior experience required – just passion and curiosity!
Participants will develop:
- Teamwork and collaboration skills
- Communication and presentation confidence
- Creative thinking and problem-solving ability
- Commercial awareness and business insight
- Professional behaviours and workplace etiquette
- Greater understanding of careers in events, marketing, sustainability, operations and motorsport
