Job Description
Shift Pattern
- Friday - Monday 06:00-16:30
The role
We are looking for a data driven, confident decision maker to join our Service Improvement team as an Analyst. Operating at the front line of daily performance, you will manage high frequency reporting. Including shift by shift hourly reports and daily operational summaries to keep control rooms, maintenance teams, and senior stakeholders aligned.
Please note this job does not entail remote working and is based on site.
What you will take on
- Execute high volume, repeatable operational workflows directly from the desk, prioritizing task execution and swift delivery over report creation.
- Actively generate, release, and route hourly work directly to warehouse operatives scanners, balancing workloads across various operational areas in real time.
- Compile and distribute hourly status reports across email and live team chat channels, keeping shift teams instantly informed of operational cadence.
- Act as a confident communication link, directly delivering live updates, answering operational queries, and providing immediate feedback to stakeholders across all levels on site.
- Compile and track all service related metrics across NDL, building the weekly service pack to review cross departmental service levels, error rates, and key improvement areas.
- Streamline high frequency manual tasks using formulas, queries, and basic scripts to increase shift output and speed up execution.
- Build and maintain clear Service Snapshot dashboards for site teams while delivering rapid ad-hoc data support for department managers.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
