Role Description

The Work Foreman is a full-time, on-site role based in Greater London, responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations on residential and commercial renovation projects. This role includes coordinating trades and site staff, organizing materials and equipment, and ensuring work is completed safely, to specification, and on schedule. The Work Foreman will interpret drawings and plans, allocate tasks, monitor progress, and provide clear instructions and feedback to team members. The position also requires regular communication with project managers and clients, quality checks on completed work, and proactive problem-solving to maintain standards and resolve issues on site.

  • Strong supervisory skills with experience leading site teams and coordinating multiple trades.
  • Hands-on carpentry abilities and knowledge of general construction practices relevant to renovations and fit-outs.
  • Experience operating or overseeing the safe use of heavy equipment and tools in a construction environment.
  • Effective communication skills for liaising with site staff, subcontractors, project managers, and clients.
  • Background in building maintenance and property refurbishment, including troubleshooting and practical repairs.
  • Solid understanding of health and safety regulations and safe work practices on construction sites.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
  • Proven track record in residential renovation or refurbishment projects in the UK; experience in Greater London is an advantage.
  • Relevant vocational qualification or apprenticeship in construction, carpentry, or a related trade is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills, reliability, and the ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of workmanship.
