Role Summary
We are looking for an organised and proactive Work Placement Co-ordinator to support the planning, preparation and delivery of work placements across curriculum areas within DN Colleges. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with students, employers and curriculum teams, helping learners gain valuable workplace experience that enhances their studies and future career prospects.
The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and maintaining employer relationships, supporting students throughout the placement process, and ensuring placements are delivered in line with College policies, funding requirements and safeguarding expectations. Key Responsibilities
- Organise and develop new and existing work placement opportunities for students.
- Support curriculum areas to ensure learners receive an outstanding placement experience.
- Plan, prepare and assess work placement activity in line with College policies and external requirements.
- Conduct placement visits to monitor student progress and address any issues or concerns.
- Carry out Health and Safety assessments of placement settings.
- Support students through placement preparation, briefing sessions and DBS application processes where required.
- Distribute relevant work placement documentation to employers and providers.
- Develop and maintain employer, commercial and industrial partnerships.
- Respond to work placement enquiries from students, staff and external organisations.
- Monitor and report on placement progress in collaboration with the Work Placement Team Leader.
- Maintain effective communication with colleagues and stakeholders across the College.
Essential Criteria
- Relevant qualification.
- Good IT skills, including word processing and spreadsheets.
- Experience of working with young people aged 14 to 19.
- Experience of working within the education sector.
- Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Benefits For Working For DN Colleges
- Salary of £26,131 to £27,436 per annum (Grade 3).
- Permanent position working 35.5 hours per week.
- 30 days annual leave, plus 8 public holidays and two weeks at Christmas.

Important Things to Note
- In DN Colleges we call this role Work Placement Co-ordinator but you might know this as Work Experience Co-ordinator, Employability Co-ordinator, Student Placement Co-ordinator, Employer Engagement Co-ordinator, Placement Officer.
- A driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential for this role.

Lets Teach Programme
Let’s Teach The LET’s teach programme supports new members of teaching staff in terms of college systems and key teaching and learning areas including new staff lesson visits and postcard peeps. Each new member of staff has an allocated Lead Practitioner who works closely with them throughout the programme.
Let’s Bloom
The LET’s Bloom Programme aims to connect our experienced and qualified teachers to share best practice and support continued risk-taking as we continue to add depth to our teaching craft. Teachers volunteer on this one year programme, working closely with the Learning Enhancement Team, capturing their experimentation in a journal.
