Work Plan Co-ordinator
Location: Ashford
Salary: £35,582 per annum (dependent on experience) plus Location Allowance
Hours: Full Time
About The Role
We are looking for an organised and analytical Work Plan Co-ordinator to optimise and coordinate annual and quarterly work plans that support the safe and efficient delivery of maintenance and project activities within the Delivery Unit.
Working closely with operational teams and stakeholders, you will ensure resources, access requirements and work plans are effectively coordinated to maximise productivity and support successful delivery across the route.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with planning and resource coordination experience who enjoys problem solving, analysing performance data and working collaboratively across multiple teams.
What you'll do
- Produce annual and quarterly work plans, coordinating and optimising the use of labour, access, plant, tools and materials.
- Identify, secure and request critical access and resource requirements to support planned activities.
- Monitor performance against annual and quarterly plans, identifying variances and recommending improvements.
- Analyse work efficiency and unit costs to support effective decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Work with key stakeholders to ensure plans remain achievable, realistic and aligned to operational priorities.
- Support the safe and efficient delivery of maintenance and project activities across the Delivery Unit.

Your Experience And Skills
What you'll need
- Experience of work planning, resource coordination and optimisation.
- Knowledge of access and possession planning processes and systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders.
Even Better if you have
- Knowledge of maintenance delivery processes and techniques.
- Experience working within a railway, infrastructure or operational environment.
- Understanding of track inspection, maintenance, renewal, and asset condition assessment techniques.
- Familiarity with relevant standards, procedures, and instructions.
- Awareness of cost and waste control techniques.
- Ability to promote and embed safe working behaviours.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to coach, influence, and develop others.
- Hold or be working towards NVQ Level 2 or 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant subject, or equivalent experience.
- Full driving licence and willingness to drive as required.
