Platform Property Care are looking for an experienced Work Planner in housing maintenance and repairs - someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and ensures every job runs smoothly. If delivering outstanding customer services is second nature to you, your next career move starts here!

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for a Work Planner/ Scheduler within our Platform Property Care planning team that could be for you!

In this key role you will be working as part of a highly motivated team planning a multi skill trades workforce to deliver planned and reactive property maintenance services for our customers.

Our team of Work Planners are central to delivering excellent customer service and ensuring repairs and installations are completed right first time.

This is a Full-Time role working 40 hours a week Monday to Friday 8:00 - 16:30 - so no weekend working.

What could you be doing?

  • Responsible for planning an operational multi skill trades workforce, maintaining contact with field teams, and liaising with customers, you will need to be highly organised, approachable, and a confident communicator.
  • It is a busy role, juggling different priorities and you will need to remain calm under pressure, think on your feet and be able to work on your own initiative.
  • But this won't phase you, as you will excel in organising the engineers and scheduling property maintenance and repairs.
  • You will also have the support of a great team around you.

Who we are looking for:

  • Strong IT skills, particularly Outlook and Word
  • Experience of working in a building maintenance or construction administration team as a work planner or scheduler, planning a trades workforce is essential.
  • Workforce (Engineers) planning and scheduling software experience (DRS is preferred)

Ideally you will be based in the West Midlands area (Solihull/ Coventry/ Birmingham or Worcestershire). Local knowledge will definitely help you succeed in this role.

Interviews will take place in person 17th, 21st and 22nd September at our Solihull office.

Whist this role is home based, there will be an expectation that you will be able to travel to our Group Offices located in Birmingham Business Park, Solihull or Central Park, Worcester on an ad-hoc basis, and as required. There is a Team meeting every other month and there will be other infrequent travel required. Any required travel will be reimbursed in line with our current policy and current Inland Revenue Mileage rates. Car parking at our offices is free.
