Work with us at Sero
Speculative applications welcome
At Sero, we believe in homes that do more, energy that costs less, and a future that is fairer.
We partner with some of the UK's largest social housing landlords to upgrade homes with smart green technology, including solar panels and a battery, so they run more efficiently and cost less to power. You do not need to be an expert in energy to work with us, because that is the part we have covered.
We started back in 2017 around a kitchen table in Newport, and today we are a certified B Corp based in the heart of Cardiff, driven to make Net Zero homes simple and affordable for everyone. We are powered by passion, guided by purpose, and made up of people from all sorts of backgrounds and journeys, brought together by one shared mission.
We do not have any live roles to advertise right now, but we are always interested in getting to know people who could be a great fit in the future. If you can picture yourself doing good work here, this is your invitation to introduce yourself and join our talent pool, so we can be in touch when the right opportunity comes up.
Where our people work

- Customer experience and billing: Our Customer Experience Advisers and billing experts, whose work makes sure residents get the best possible experience, which is one of our strongest aims.
- Central functions: The people who keep everything running, across areas like People, Finance, Operations, Commercial and Marketing.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
