Overview / Role Summary
Our Client is looking for a Workday Accounting Center & Prism Analytics Lead to take ownership of the end-to-end pipeline that turns high-volume business events into posted accounting in Workday Financials. This is a delivery-focused role spanning Prism ingestion + data modelling, Accounting Center rules/enrichment, and balanced journal generation into the ledger, working directly with Finance stakeholders.
Benefits / Value Proposition
- £1,000 per day (Outside IR35)
- Contract: 6–12 months (with delivery runway through May 31, 2027)
- High-impact work on one of the rarest Workday Financials skill sets
- Autonomy to lead a critical workstream end-to-end (not “ticket execution”)
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Accounting Center design and build: rules, rule sets, transformations, and enrichment to FDM/worktags.
- Ensure balanced journal generation, posting cadence, exception handling, and reprocessing approach.
- Own traceability and audit-ready lineage from source event through to ledger lines.
- Architect Workday Prism Analytics pipelines: ingestion (file/SFTP/API/WDL), staged tables, derived datasets, publishing.
- Implement dataset governance including security (incl. row-level security where required) and performance at scale.
- Translate Finance/Group Reporting needs into platform design, including reconciliation vs source control totals.
- Produce handover documentation/runbooks and build capability within the client team.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
