Principal Consultant - Workday Adaptive Planning

The Principal Consultant will “bridge the gap” between the business and technical teams by solving complex Workday Adaptive Planning problems. They will guide clients through the transformation, implementation, and operation phases of a Workday implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guide clients through facilitated design sessions and configuration decisions, applying best practices while tailoring solutions to their unique business requirements across all project stages.
  • Engage with clients throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring a smooth transition from legacy systems to Workday Adaptive Planning.
  • Manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision, while providing regular updates on progress, risks, and changes to clients, project teams, and Engagement Managers.
  • Take on leadership responsibilities within projects, including roles such as Partner Lead or Delivery Assurance Reviewer.
  • Demonstrate hands-on expertise in Workday, including data management, tenant-to-tenant configuration migration, and business process and security configuration.
  • Apply technical skills to convert and map data sources into Workday Adaptive Planning.
  • Mentor and support consultants and analysts, including guidance on ad hoc assignments.
  • Actively participate in training and internal knowledge-sharing initiatives to continuously develop skills and contribute to organisational capability.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required by the manager.

Skills and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of Workday functional implementation experience required.
  • 5+ years implementing functional solutions with EPM or SaaS software required.
  • Experience gathering business requirements, designing and prototyping, testing, and implementing practical business solutions under multiple deadlines.
  • 5+ years of Financial/Management Accounting or FP&A experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Minimal travel required, but must be willing to travel on-site as needed.
  • Eligible for SC Clearance - you must have been a UK resident for the last five years and be legally entitled to work in the UK.
