Senior Workday HCM Consultant (Contract)

Location: UK (Remote)

Contract: Outside IR35

Start Date: ASAP 2026

Clearance: SC or Eligible


Overview

We are supporting a major UK organisation that has recently secured a significant transformation programme and is looking to engage an experienced Senior Workday Finance Consultant on an initial contract basis.

This is a fully remote opportunity, working as part of a high-performing Workday delivery team on a large-scale public sector transformation programme.

The successful consultant will play a key role in delivering and optimising Workday Financial Management solutions, working closely with business and technical stakeholders throughout the programme lifecycle.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of a large-scale Workday Finance transformation programme.
  • Configure and optimise Workday Financial Management solutions in line with business requirements.
  • Work closely with Finance stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable Workday solutions.
  • Support solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live activities.
  • Provide expertise across relevant Workday Finance processes and functionality.
  • Support Workday Prism Analytics and Finance reporting requirements.
  • Collaborate with technical and integration teams to deliver reporting, analytics, and integrations where required.
  • Identify opportunities to improve Finance processes through Workday functionality and best practice.
  • Provide Workday best-practice guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support issue resolution and contribute to the overall quality and successful delivery of the programme.

Required Experience

  • Proven experience delivering Workday Financial Management implementations or transformation programmes.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Workday Finance.
  • Experience across relevant Workday Finance modules/processes such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Expenses, Banking, or Asset Management.
  • Strong experience with Workday Prism Analytics.
  • Experience with Workday Extend would be advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of Finance business processes and how they translate into Workday solutions.
  • Experience working within large, complex transformation programmes.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a fully remote delivery team.
  • Candidates must hold active SC Clearance or be eligible to obtain SC Clearance.
