Workday Finance Lead
Location: West London (Hybrid Working)
Salary: £80,000 - £110,000 + Benefits
Security Clearance: Must be eligible for SC Clearance
The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Workday Finance Lead to join a growing consulting team delivering large-scale finance transformation and ERP implementation programmes.
This role offers the opportunity to work closely with senior finance stakeholders, helping organisations optimise financial processes, improve reporting capabilities and maximise the value of their Workday investment.
The successful candidate will play a key role throughout the full project lifecycle, from requirements gathering and solution design through to implementation, testing and deployment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation, configuration and optimisation of Workday Financials solutions.
- Facilitate requirements gathering workshops with business and finance stakeholders.
- Analyse business processes and translate requirements into effective Workday solutions.
- Produce high-quality functional specifications, process documentation and solution designs.
- Configure and support core Workday Financials modules, including:
- General Ledger
- Accounts Payable
- Accounts Receivable
- Procurement
- Expenses
- Projects & Grants
- Support data migration, integrations and system testing activities.
- Lead and support System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and deployment activities.
- Provide guidance on finance transformation initiatives and process improvements.
- Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders including Finance Directors, Controllers and CFO teams.
- Support post-go-live optimisation and continuous improvement activities.

Skills & Experience Essential
- Minimum 5 years' experience working with Workday Financials.
- Proven experience delivering end-to-end Workday Financials implementations.
- Strong understanding of the Workday Financial Data Model.
- Experience with Business Assets and Accounting Configuration.
- Excellent stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills.
- Strong understanding of finance processes, controls and reporting requirements.
- Ability to work independently whilst managing multiple priorities.

Desirable
- Experience working within the public sector, government or regulated environments.
- Knowledge of fund accounting, grants management and complex finance structures.
- Experience with Workday Reporting and Prism Analytics.
- Exposure to large-scale transformation programmes.
Qualifications
- Workday Financials Certification (active or previously held) desirable.
