Workday Systems Administrator
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Workday Systems Administrator to own the ongoing management, support, and optimisation of a Workday Financials environment. Working closely with Finance and IT teams, you will act as the system SME, ensuring the platform remains effective, secure, and aligned to business needs.
This role will focus on configuration, integrations, security, system updates, testing, and continuous improvement, while providing advanced support and guidance to users.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the Workday Financials subject matter expert.
- Configure and maintain business processes, security, reports, and integrations.
- Partner with Finance stakeholders to improve processes and system functionality.
- Manage releases, updates, and new feature adoption.
- Support testing activities including UAT and regression testing.
- Ensure data integrity, compliance, and financial governance standards.
- Provide guidance on reporting best practices and troubleshoot complex issues.
- Identify opportunities for automation and continuous improvement.

Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong Workday Financials administration and configuration experience.
- Knowledge of security, business processes, calculated fields, reporting, and integrations.
- Experience supporting finance functions such as GL, AP, AR, procurement, expenses, and financial reporting.
- Understanding of Workday integrations (EIBs, Web Services, etc.).
- Ability to engage effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.

Desirable
- Workday Financials and/or Integration certifications.
- Experience with Workday Studio, APIs, or advanced integrations.
- Knowledge of cloud security and financial data governance.
- Previous experience supporting enterprise financial systems.
