Workday Financials Principal Consultant | 6-Month Contract | Remote UK
I'm currently looking for an experienced Workday Financials Principal Consultant to join a major finance transformation programme on an initial 6-month contract.
Location: Remote – UK
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Length: 6 months, full-time
Travel: Minimal, with occasional on-site attendance as required
Security Clearance: Must be eligible for UK SC Clearance
The Role
You'll provide senior functional leadership across Workday Financial Management implementations, leading solution design and delivery while supporting finance transformation, business development and team development.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Workday Financials design workshops and solution design discussions.
- Drive end-to-end Financials workstreams across Record-to-Report (R2R), Procure-to-Pay (P2P) and Contracts-to-Cash (C2C).
- Advise stakeholders on finance operating models, business processes, controls and optimisation.
- Oversee solution decisions, risks, dependencies, configuration and delivery milestones.
- Collaborate with Reporting, Security, Integrations, Data and Change Management teams.
- Support testing, deployment, cutover and post-go-live activities.
- Mentor consultants and analysts, ensuring high-quality functional delivery.
- Contribute to pre-sales activities, including proposals, estimations, demonstrations and client presentations.

What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of Workday Financials implementation experience.
- Proven experience leading Financials workstreams on end-to-end implementations.
- Strong functional expertise in one or more of R2R, P2P or C2C.
- Experience across requirements gathering, workshops, solution design, configuration, testing and deployment.
- Pre-sales and solutioning experience.
- Excellent consulting, stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Previous mentoring or functional leadership experience.
- Active Workday Financials certification preferred.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

SC Clearance Eligibility
Candidates must have been resident in the UK for the last five years and have the legal right to work in the UK. Final clearance eligibility will be subject to the relevant checks.
