We are seeking experienced Workday Functional Leads to support a range of client transformation, implementation, optimisation, and enhancement programmes. We are particularly interested in consultants with expertise in one or more of the following areas:
- Recruiting & Pre-Hire Processes
- Compensation, Payroll & Rewards
- Security, Data Governance & Controls
- Core HCM and related Workday modules
Job Description
As a Workday Functional Lead, you will partner with clients to design and deliver effective Workday solutions, provide functional expertise, facilitate workshops, and help ensure successful project outcomes.

What Skills Are We Looking For?
Our roles are remotely based, meaning you will be working from your home office, connecting with your client and team on a daily basis. To be successful in this type of environment, you will need to have the ability to communicate effectively (in English) with cross-functional teams, explain complex concepts in easy, understandable terms, align HR / business knowledge with Workday functionality, and proactively drive process improvements. You will need to be comfortable with video calls and be proactive in keeping communication channels open with your client and team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead functional design activities across Workday implementations and enhancement projects in the relevant areas.
- Facilitate client workshops and translate business requirements into scalable Workday solutions.
- Provide subject matter expertise and guidance on Workday best practices.
- Produce functional design documentation and configuration specifications.
- Support testing, deployment, and go-live activities.
- Collaborate closely with client stakeholders, project teams, and technical resources.
- Ensure solutions align with business requirements, governance standards, and compliance needs.
- Provide mentoring and quality assurance support where appropriate.

Skills & Experience
- More than 3 years of experience leading Workday functional workstreams, with deep expertise in one or more Workday modules.
- Strong expertise in one or more Workday functional areas such as Core HCM, Recruiting, Compensation, Payroll, Benefits, Talent, Security, or Data Governance.
- Experience leading client workshops and managing stakeholder relationships.
- Proven ability to design and deliver Workday solutions in complex environments.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Consulting experience within client-facing projects.
- Workday certification(s).
- Experience across multiple Workday modules.
- Global implementation or support experience.
- Experience working within consultancy or professional services environments.
Other Qualifications / Skills (Beneficial but Not Mandatory)
- College or University Degree in HR or Information Systems.
- Familiarity with Agile and hybrid delivery methodologies.
- Background in HR operations, payroll, or finance transformation.
