The Workday Configuration Analyst

The Workday Configuration Analyst provides support for Nordic’s Human Resources technology systems. This position will work closely with the Human Resources and Talent teams and key business stakeholders across all departments regarding the Workday infrastructure. Must have proven experience with Workday HCM.
Key Responsibilities
The Workday Configuration Analyst’s responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Responsible for configuration and ongoing maintenance of Workday
- Collaborate with the HR cross functional team to continue to build out and optimize our Workday ecosystem.
- Assist with strategy and technology road map for our Workday ecosystem
- Participate in documenting design strategies, technical business requirements and road maps for Nordic’s HR systems
- Configure and support existing Workday modules (HCM, Absence, Time Tracking, Payroll, Benefits, Recruiting, Learning and Advanced Compensation)
- Leverage experience and suggest best practices and lessons learned when rolling out new functionality
- Thoroughly test configurations through unit testing and facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) across functional teams.
- Deliver knowledge transfer and change management of configuration modifications.
- Handle projects with ambiguity from design to deployment
- Troubleshoot and resolve configuration related issues
- Create advance reports using complex calculated fields
- Perform ongoing reconciliations and audits of HR data to ensure good data hygiene
- Evaluate Workday release enhancements and work with functional leads to determine what enhancements should be adopted, timeline for adoption, testing and rollout.
- Staying current with industry trends, identifying and researching new technologies
- Working on projects that may be assigned on an ad hoc basis and may assist other corporate initiatives as necessary

Skills and experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Workday Certifications desirable
- 2 to 3 years’ experience with Workday HCM
- Ability to lead cross functional projects and interact with team members at all levels.
- Strong quantitative and data analysis skills
- Demonstrated ability to seek out, analyze, and solve problems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to organize and prioritize effectively
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment
- Must demonstrate and embody Nordic’s maxims
