About Deloitte
Working with the Deloitte Associate (Contractor) Programme means we can offer you the opportunity to work on a variation of industry and client related projects. Our aim is to retain the best talent and so when your project end date nears our team of Talent Community Advisors will be working with you to look at alternative projects within the firm that suit your experience should you wish to continue with Deloitte.
Role
As a Workday HCM Consultant (Manager), your role will involve contributing to the planning, execution, and successful delivery of data migration activities related to the implementation of Workday HCM. This role is critical in ensuring the accurate, timely, and secure transfer of financial data from legacy systems to Workday, supporting the broader technology and business transformation agenda. You will manage specific workstreams or components of the migration, collaborate extensively with functional and technical stakeholders, and uphold data integrity and governance standards throughout the migration lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to defining data migration scope, objectives, and success criteria in alignment with programme goals and business requirements.
- Manage a small team or workstream, providing guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
- Oversee and execute data cleansing, standardisation, and enrichment activities to meet Workday data model requirements and improve data quality.
- Act as a key point of contact for specific data migration-related activities, liaising with project managers, functional leads, technical teams, and business stakeholders.
- Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather requirements, define data definitions, and resolve data-related challenges.
- Contribute to establishing and enforcing data governance policies and procedures throughout the migration process.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all data migration processes, mappings, and validation results within your area of responsibility.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
