Senior Associate - Workday HCM & HRIS Applications
London | Hybrid - 4 days a week onsite
TechNET IT has partnered exclusively with a globally recognised private investment organisation managing over $100bn in assets, to appoint a Senior Associate - Workday HCM & HRIS Applications.
This is a rare opportunity to join a highly collaborative HR Technology function where you'll play a key role in shaping the future of a global Workday platform. This isn't simply another Workday configuration role.
We're looking for someone who enjoys sitting at the intersection of HR and Technology, someone who can understand business challenges, influence senior stakeholders, own the Workday roadmap and lead a talented team whilst remaining hands-on enough to guide technical solutions.
Working closely with senior HR leadership, you'll become the trusted advisor for Workday HCM, driving continual improvement, leading new functionality and helping define the future direction of the HR technology landscape.
What you'll be doing
- Own the Workday HCM roadmap and continual improvement strategy.
- Partner with HR leadership to understand business priorities and translate them into scalable Workday solutions.
- Lead solution design, configuration decisions and functional best practice across Core HCM and additional modules.
- Provide technical leadership across Workday HCM, supporting and mentoring experienced Functional Analysts.
- Drive Workday optimisation, release management and adoption of new functionality.
- Lead workshops, gather requirements and influence stakeholders across HR, IT and the wider business.
- Manage priorities across multiple initiatives, ensuring delivery aligns with business value.
- Support Workday integrations, reporting, testing and release activities.
- Champion user adoption, governance and continuous improvement across the HR technology estate.
- Work alongside external implementation partners whilst continuing to strengthen internal capability.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
