Workday HRIS Lead
London | Hybrid – 2 days per week on-site | £75,000–£85,000 + benefits
A leading UK organisation is looking for an experienced Workday HCM Specialist to join its growing Workday team. Having recently gone live with Workday HCM, the organisation is now focused on optimisation, continuous improvement, user adoption and maximising the value of the Workday platform. This is a hands-on functional role working closely with HR, business stakeholders and delivery partners to improve processes, introduce new functionality and shape the future development of Workday.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a Workday HCM functional SME (Workday HRIS Lead), with strong expertise across Core HCM, Absence and Compensation.
- Translate HR and business requirements into Workday solutions, user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Support Workday configuration, business processes, organisational structures, positions and compensation.
- Own and prioritise the Workday enhancement and continuous improvement backlog.
- Support Workday releases, assessing new functionality and identifying opportunities for adoption and improvement.
- Lead or support testing, UAT, deployment and post-release validation.
- Support Workday reporting and analytics.
- Work with Workday partners, implementation teams and AMS providers where required.
- Provide functional support for complex Workday issues.
- Drive user adoption, process improvement and effective use of Workday.
- Build strong relationships across HR, Technology and business teams.

What We're Looking For

- Significant hands-on Workday HCM / Core HCM experience.
- Strong experience across Workday Absence and Compensation plus any others
- Proven experience in a Workday HCM Specialist, Senior Workday Analyst, Workday Functional Consultant, Functional Lead, Product Owner or HCM Functional Lead role.
- Strong experience of Workday configuration, business processes and post-go-live optimisation.
- Experience with Workday releases, testing and UAT.
- Strong understanding of HR processes and how they can be enabled through Workday.
- Experience translating business requirements into practical Workday solutions.
- Experience working with Workday implementation partners or AMS providers.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
