Workday Integration Lead
Key Responsibilities
- Lead payroll integration workshops with client stakeholders, driving requirements gathering, integration design decisions, and sign-off.
- Design, build, test, and deploy Workday integrations, with a strong emphasis on payroll interfaces (PECI) to third-party payroll providers, including ADP.
- Own the end-to-end integration design phase for payroll workstreams, translating business requirements into robust, scalable technical solutions.
- Partner with functional leads across HCM, Payroll, and Benefits to ensure integration designs align with the wider Workday configuration.
- Provide technical leadership and hands-on delivery across the full Workday deployment lifecycle — Plan, Architect, Configure & Prototype, Test, Deploy, and post-go-live support.
- Troubleshoot and resolve integration defects, working closely with client IT, middleware, and third-party vendor teams.
- Contribute to integration strategy, design standards, and reusable patterns across engagements.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior integration consultants.

Required Experience & Skills
- 6+ years of hands-on Workday integration consulting experience.
- Strong, demonstrable experience with PECI payroll integrations and third-party payroll providers, particularly ADP.
- Proven experience leading payroll integration workshops and owning the design of payroll interfaces.
- A minimum of two full-lifecycle Workday implementation projects, from design through to deployment.
- Previous experience working at a Workday services/implementation partner.
- Solid understanding of the Workday HCM and Payroll data model as it relates to integration design.
- Strong client-facing skills, with the confidence and communication style to lead workshops and influence design decisions.
- Relevant Workday certifications (e.g., Integrations, PECI/PICOF, etc.)

Preferred / Nice to Have
- Workday Studio experience is a plus but not essential.
- Exposure to AWS and/or middleware platforms (e.g., Dell Boomi, MuleSoft) used to support Workday integrations.
- Previously worked with Workday Partner
