Job Title: Workday Integrations Consultant

Contract Details

Contract Type: Outside IR35
Duration: 3–6 months
Location: Remote / Hybrid (as required)
Start Date: ASAP

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Workday Integrations Consultant to join our clients' team on an initial 3–6 month contract. This role will primarily focus on Business-as-Usual (BAU) integration support, ensuring the ongoing stability, reliability, and performance of an established Workday integration landscape.

The successful contractor will be responsible for supporting existing integrations, investigating and resolving issues, implementing fixes and enhancements, and working closely with functional and technical stakeholders to maintain critical business processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day support for existing Workday integrations.
  • Monitor integration performance and proactively identify issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve integration failures, errors, and performance issues.
  • Diagnose root causes and implement sustainable fixes.
  • Support inbound and outbound integrations between Workday and third-party applications.
  • Develop, modify, and maintain Workday integration solutions where required.
  • Perform impact analysis for requested changes and enhancements.
  • Work with HR, Payroll, Finance, and third-party vendors to resolve integration-related issues.
  • Ensure integrations are appropriately tested before deployment.
  • Maintain technical documentation and support knowledge transfer where appropriate.
  • Participate in incident management and prioritise support requests based on business impact.
  • Follow established change management and release processes.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience delivering and supporting Workday Integrations in enterprise environments.
  • Strong hands-on experience with:
    • Workday Studio
    • Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB)
    • Core Connectors
    • Document Transformation
    • Workday Web Services (SOAP/REST)
    • Workday APIs
    • XML, XSLT, XPath
  • Experience troubleshooting complex integration issues and analysing logs.
  • Strong understanding of integration architecture and data flows.
  • Experience supporting production Workday environments.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience supporting Workday HCM, Payroll, Finance, or Recruiting integrations.
  • Experience with middleware platforms such as Boomi, MuleSoft, or Azure Integration Services.
  • Familiarity with version control and CI/CD practices.
  • Workday Integration certification(s).
  • Experience working within ITIL-based support environments.
