As a Workday Program Manager
You will help drive results for a Global Client in the Energy sector by overseeing a portfolio of Workday implementation, optimization, and transformation projects within a broader Client program. The role provides program-level leadership, governance, and strategic direction across multiple concurrent Workday projects, each managed by dedicated Project Managers. Working in close partnership with the Payroll Program Manager, the Workday Program Manager ensures alignment, dependency management, risk mitigation, and integrated delivery across Workday and Payroll workstreams. This role serves as a key client-facing leader who drives program outcomes, promotes collaboration across teams, and ensures delivery excellence throughout the program lifecycle.
Location is home-based with occasional travel to Client sites across the globe (up to 10%).
Your Impact as a Workday Program Manager
- Program Leadership: lead a portfolio of Workday projects delivered within a larger client transformation program, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, within budget, and successfully transitioned to BAU operations. Provide strategic oversight and guidance to Project Managers responsible for individual Workday projects.
- Program Governance: establish and maintain effective program governance, reporting, and stakeholder communication frameworks. Monitor program health, milestones, budgets, risks, issues, and resource utilization across all Workday projects. Ensure consistent application of delivery methodologies, standards, and quality controls.
- Cross-Functional Program Management: partner closely with the Payroll Program Manager to manage interdependencies between Workday and Payroll workstreams. Ensure alignment of timelines, milestones, data migration, testing activities, cutover plans, and deployment strategies. Identify and proactively address cross-project risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Stakeholder Management: act as a trusted advisor to senior Client and Strada stakeholders and executive sponsors. Participate in Steering Committee meetings and executive governance forums.
- Team Leadership: provide leadership, coaching, and support to Project Managers within the program. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and delivery excellence. Promote knowledge sharing and best practice adoption across the delivery organization.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
