In this role, you will act as a key Workday SME within a leading global alternative investment firm, known for its data-driven approach and collaborative culture across multiple international offices. The organisation operates in a fast-paced, high-performance environment, where technology plays a critical role in enabling business success. You will be responsible for supporting and optimising HR systems globally, ensuring best-in-class delivery and user experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Acting as the day-to-day technical expert for Workday HCM, providing reliable and consistent support across the business
  • Ensuring a seamless global Workday experience for employees and managers, aligned with best practice configuration
  • Leading the design and delivery of system enhancements and new functionality, including producing detailed design documentation and securing stakeholder alignment
  • Proactively identifying system issues and opportunities for improvement, troubleshooting challenges and implementing effective solutions, including ad hoc configurations where required
  • Managing end-to-end delivery across configuration, testing, and deployment of business processes, integrations, reports, and new features
  • Collaborating with internal teams and external partners to support testing, security requirements, and downstream system integrations
  • Supporting ongoing system maintenance, including participation in bi-annual Workday releases
  • Developing and maintaining reporting capabilities, including dashboards, to meet evolving business needs
  • Contributing to the creation of training materials and delivering system demonstrations to end users

  • Minimum of 5 years' hands-on experience with Workday HCM, with exposure to modules such as Talent, Learning, Absence, and Reporting preferred
  • Experience supporting Workday within a global environment
  • A proactive mindset with a strong interest in solving business challenges and optimising end-to-end processes through system configuration
  • Demonstrates sound judgement, high integrity, and the ability to handle sensitive employee and financial data with confidentiality
  • Strong commercial awareness and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes
  • Proven ability to build effective relationships, navigate sensitive situations, and respond constructively to feedback
  • Ability to prioritise effectively and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive process improvements
