Workday Systems Lead - £550 - £700 Per Day – 6 Month Contract – Global Brand

Overview:

We are currently searching for an experienced Workday Systems Lead to join a major global organisation on an initial 6-month contract. The role will take ownership of the People Systems landscape, with a particular focus on Workday, systems strategy, integrations, roadmap development and ongoing optimisation.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Own the functionality, architecture and performance of the organisation’s People Systems, operating within a Workday-first environment.
  • Develop and manage the People Technology roadmap, prioritising system upgrades, enhancements and new implementations.
  • Take ownership of Workday across the HR application suite, including configuration, integrations and ongoing optimisation.
  • Ensure People Systems integrate effectively across the wider technology architecture, working closely with Technology and product teams.
  • Manage third-party system providers and support partners, ensuring effective service delivery and contractual alignment.
  • Lead and develop a small team of Workday / HR Systems Analysts.
  • Ensure systems meet audit, regulatory, security and data-quality requirements.
  • Provide systems expertise into wider People strategy, transformation and technology initiatives.

Technical Requirements:

  • Extensive hands-on experience with Workday, including configuration, integrations and systems management.
  • Strong experience owning or developing People Technology / HRIS roadmaps.
  • Broad understanding of HR systems architecture, integrations and the wider People Technology landscape.
  • Strong knowledge of HR processes and the end-to-end employee lifecycle.
  • Experience managing Workday product owners, third-party suppliers and external support partners.
  • Previous experience leading and developing Workday / HR Systems teams.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to work across HR, Technology and senior leadership teams.
  • Experience managing system upgrades, implementations, compliance, governance and continuous improvement initiatives.
