Job Title: USS Workforce Administrator
Contract Type: Permanent
Please note this vacancy is being advertised as an Expression of Interest opportunity and is only open to substantive employees currently employed within the Women and Newborn workforce administration team. Applications received from outside of this identified group will not be progressed.
Main duties of the job
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Workforce Administrator in the Women and Newborn management team, overseeing the rota co-ordination of our Ultrasound team and working with our other workforce administrators to ensure cover across the department.

Detailed Job Description And Main Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Writing assigned rotas, ensuring clinical commitments are sufficiently covered on a day-to-day basis.
- Liaise with the relevant individuals, populate and maintain the Healthroster system for agreed Health rosters, in line with trust policies and procedures.
- Acting as a central contact for doctors and local co-ordinators within the Care Group for all holiday and maternity leave, resignations, sickness reporting and rota issues.

Person specification
Qualifications, Knowledge And Experience
Essential criteria
- NVQ Level 4 or equivalent relevant experience
- Experience in a complex administrative environment with considerable experience of setting up systems and processes.
- Experience in gathering and analysing complex data using Excel
- Proven experience understanding and producing complex data with considerable experience dealing with end users.
- Up to date on relevant legislation, e.g. employment law and working time regulations.
Desirable criteria
- Previous NHS Experience
- Evidence of advising on NHS conditions of service and Trust policies and procedures.
- Experience of using Electronic Staff Record (ESR)
- Experience of using Allocate software, Healthroster, eRota, eJobPlan
