We’re looking for experienced Workforce Associates with a strong understanding of the NHS and wider healthcare workforce landscape to join us and support a varied portfolio of client projects.
This is a hands-on consulting role, working across a range of healthcare organisations and programmes. You’ll work closely with clients to understand their workforce challenges, analyse data, shape recommendations and support the delivery of practical, sustainable workforce solutions.
The role will involve working with a variety of clients, as part of a wider project team or working independently, so we’re looking for someone who is confident managing their own workload, building strong client relationships and taking ownership of deliverables.

Essentials:
- Minimum 2 years NHS experience
- NHS workforce planning, transformation and optimisation
- Reviewing workforce structures, skill mix and future workforce requirements
- Using workforce data and insights to identify challenges, opportunities and recommendations
- Working with senior clinical, operational, HR and workforce stakeholders
- Facilitating workshops, meetings and stakeholder discussions
- Producing clear, high-quality reports, presentations and recommendations for clients
- Managing workstreams and deliverables independently where required
- Building trusted relationships with clients and adapting quickly to different organisational environments

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
