Job Overview

We're looking for a dynamic, forward-thinking Workforce Business Partner (WBP) to join our Workforce team and help deliver meaningful change across our organisation.

Working closely with operational leaders and reporting to the Senior Workforce Manager, this is a high-impact role designed to lead on all things people-related – from proactive absence management to embedding a positive, inclusive workplace culture.

As a Workforce Business Partner, you will be aligned and embedded within Operational Groups.

The Operational Workforce Team is a small team, which links into a wider Workforce Team, and has strong links to the Communications Team. The team is progressively looking at ways to innovate and drive changes in policies and ways of working.

If you are successful at shortlisting the interview will involve a presentation/assessment element and will be with members of the Workforce team and our Operational colleagues.

Main duties of the job

You Will

  • Partner with your operational leaders to deliver our People Strategy and drive workforce performance.
  • Lead on reducing sickness absence through data-driven interventions and early support.
  • Collaborate with Occupational Health, Wellbeing, and Union representatives to ensure fair, consistent and preventative practices.
  • Provide expert advice across the full employee lifecycle – including Employee Relations, performance, organisational change and workforce development.
  • Champion a culture of equity, diversity, inclusion, and psychological safety.
  • Design and deliver impactful training, particularly around absence management and leadership capability.
  • Utilise workforce data to provide insights that shape strategic decisions and improve staff experience.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
