Primary focus

Building and governing Unilever’s workforce digital twin and artificial intelligence data foundation — trusted workforce, finance, role, skills and knowledge data for People Products

Role overview

Owns the architecture, governance and adoption of Unilever’s workforce digital twin — the trusted data and knowledge layer that People agents and People Products draw on. The role works across the People function, Finance, Global Digital and Technology, vendors and journey teams to ensure the twin reflects current workforce reality, supports artificial intelligence-enabled products and creates a reliable foundation for insight, planning and decisions.

Key accountabilities

  • Own the design and evolution of the workforce digital twin as the trusted workforce data and knowledge layer for People agents and People Products.
  • Define canonical data elements — roles, skills, positions, organisation design structures, People knowledge, finance data and policy/precedent — as governed data products with refresh service level agreements.
  • Extend the twin to include the finance dimension, connecting workforce data to cost, budget, productivity and planning data in one integrated layer.
  • Govern integration standards, access permissions, pipeline quality, reconciliation and remediation workflows with Global Digital and Technology, data owners and platform teams.
  • Build and maintain the artificial intelligence knowledge layer — retrieval architecture, accuracy benchmarks and drift monitoring — so agents query policy, precedent and workforce data reliably.
  • Ensure approved agent actions and human decisions flow back into the twin and relevant systems of record.
  • Manage vendors and third-party delivery, owning quality, integration and adoption of the foundation across People Product teams.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
