Job Description
The Workforce Operations Resource Assistant is part of a collaborative team supporting accurate, fair, and efficient rostering. The role focuses on building and maintaining fixed-pattern rotas, completing routine roster updates, and keeping workforce information accurate. The Resource Assistant checks information carefully, resolves straightforward issues, and escalates exceptions to a Resource Coordinator at the right time. This is an entry-level opportunity for someone who is organized, dependable, and confident using systems. It suits a person who enjoys detailed work, communicates clearly, and wants to develop their understanding of workforce planning in a fast-moving live broadcast environment.
What You’ll Do
- Build and maintain fixed-pattern rotas in line with agreed templates, staffing arrangements, and published deadlines.
- Check rota information for gaps, clashes, missing data, and differences from the agreed pattern, correcting straightforward errors and escalating exceptions.
- Keep workforce and rostering system data accurate and up to date, following agreed data standards and handling information appropriately.
- Communicate routine rota information and confirmed changes clearly to colleagues and stakeholders, referring complex queries to a Resource Coordinator.
- Support the team during busy periods by completing allocated rostering tasks accurately and in priority order.
- Follow established processes, guidelines, and approval routes, keeping clear records of updates and decisions.
- Develop an understanding of production roles, working patterns, and operational requirements to build capability for broader rostering responsibilities.
- Support the Resource Coordinators and Workforce Planning Manager on ad hoc projects when needed and the wider Workforce Operations team.

What you’ll bring
- A careful, methodical approach and strong attention to detail.
- Good organization skills, with the ability to follow a repeatable process and meet deadlines.
- Ability to spot errors or inconsistencies, take action within agreed boundaries, and ask for help when needed.
- Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A calm, dependable, and collaborative approach in a busy operational environment.
- Willingness to learn about rostering, workforce planning, and live production requirements.
- Adaptability and a positive approach to changes in priorities, processes, and systems.
Desirable Skills And Experience
- Experience of rostering, scheduling, or coordinating shifts.
- An understanding of fixed working patterns, leave records, or workforce systems.
- Experience in broadcast, live events, sport, or another operational environment.

How you’ll work
We've adopted a hybrid working approach to give more flexibility on where and how we work. The hybrid working expectations for this role are 3 days in the office per week.
