ABOUT THE TEAM:

People Engineering drives the strategy, delivery, and support of LSEG’s People platforms. These platforms enable capabilities across the full people experience at LSEG. Our mission is to harmonise processes, maximize efficiency through standardisation, and enhance data management to support the company’s vision.

ROLE SUMMARY:

As a Workday Adaptive Engineering Lead, you will play a key role in transforming our financial planning capabilities through Workday Adaptive Planning, delivering smarter, faster, and more agile insights across the enterprise. This is an opportunity to lead innovation at scale, influence global processes, and collaborate with dynamic teams that values your expertise.

This role is ideal for professionals who are passionate about leveraging data-driven insights to deliver innovative technology solutions that drive strategic success.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

  • Proven experience as a Senior Manager or Senior Consultant with hands-on configuration and deployment of Workday Adaptive Planning
  • Strong understanding of how Workforce planning drives business performance inclusive of Financial Modelling & Planning.
  • Advanced ability to work with complex data structures and support outcomes that will positively impact the workforce planning data architecture.
  • Experience with Workday Core HCM and/or Finance Modules will be highly valued.
  • Strong stakeholder management and ability to influence cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills for problem-solving and insight delivery.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

  • Own and prioritise requirements for optimal Adaptive Planning configuration.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and business stakeholders to gather and document detailed requirements for system enhancements.
  • Design solutions and build configuration to meet functional needs.
  • Drive change and continuous improvement through strong influencing skills.
  • Analyse release impacts and implement necessary system updates.
  • Plan, test, and implement configuration changes and enhancements.
  • Partner with test, enablement, change, and operations teams for smooth delivery.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, fostering strong relationships across Finance, People and Corporate teams.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and best practices in workforce planning tooling and financial planning technologies.

Key Relationships:

To successfully deliver technology solutions, it is essential to partner closely with Finance, the People Function, WF Planners, Senior Stakeholders, and the Global Process owner. This collaboration ensures alignment across strategic priorities, operational requirements, and governance standards, enabling seamless integration and value-driven outcomes.

Technical /Professional Skills & Competencies:

Essential Skills:

  • 5-7 years deploying or supporting Workday Adaptive Planning.
  • Workday certification in Adaptive Planning.
  • Strong understanding of finance processes, principles, and analytics.
  • Experience designing and building complex workforce planning models.
  • Ability to communicate business value through presentations and demos.
  • High judgment, negotiation, and influencing capabilities.
  • Ability to bridge technical and non-technical teams effectively.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in business analysis techniques and full project lifecycle engagement.
  • Strong project management and prioritisation skills.

Desired Skills:

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with software development lifecycles and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of Workday HCM and Recruitment modules.
  • Experience with Agile delivery.

Education/ Certifications:

  • Degree in Computer Science or related technical field (or equivalent experience).
  • Workday Pro certifications are a plus.
  • Training in software development lifecycle or methodologies.
