Workforce Management Lead

Hybrid, Support Office / Pet Care Centres

Are you passionate about using data, insight and technology to make a real difference to colleagues and customers? We're looking for a Workforce Management Lead to help shape how we plan, deploy and optimise our workforce across our Retail business.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to lead workforce planning and labour productivity initiatives, ensuring we have the right colleague capacity in the right place at the right time. You'll work closely with teams across Retail Operations, Finance, People, Digital Operations and Operational Excellence, helping to improve colleague experience, operational performance and productivity.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Developing workforce planning and forecasting models that support customer demand and trading patterns.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve productivity and labour efficiency through data-led insights.
  • Establishing workforce planning and scheduling principles that balance customer needs, colleague experience and operational requirements.
  • Leading the optimisation of workforce management technology, including Rotageek and future workforce solutions.
  • Supporting business cases, change initiatives and operational projects with workforce planning expertise.
  • Creating meaningful dashboards and reports using tools such as Excel and Power BI, translating data into actionable recommendations.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience within Workforce Management, Resource Planning, Labour Optimisation, Operational Excellence or a similar field.
  • Strong workforce forecasting, scheduling or resource planning experience within a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced analytical skills with experience using Excel, Power BI or equivalent reporting tools.
  • A track record of delivering measurable productivity or efficiency improvements.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across multiple teams.

It Would Be Great If You Also Have

  • Multi-site retail experience.
  • Experience with Rotageek or similar workforce management systems.
  • Lean Six Sigma, continuous improvement or change management qualifications.
