Melbourne, Australia | Sponsorship & Relocation offered

We’re recruiting for a Resourcing Manager within a global law firm. This is a critical role within the Human Resources Team, responsible for helping allocate staff effectively across the firm in a way that balances business priorities, client demand, utilisation, career development and employee wellbeing.

This opportunity will suit someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and enjoys working closely with senior stakeholders to solve complex resourcing challenges.

The role

In this role, you will work alongside partners to design and implement best-practice resource allocation strategies, ensuring work is distributed efficiently across practice groups.

You will:

  • Assess lawyer workload, capacity and capability to support new matters and projects.
  • Analyse timelines, skill sets and matter requirements to identify the most suitable resources.
  • Optimise utilisation by resolving conflicts, bottlenecks and competing priorities.
  • Support, coach and escalate issues for resource consultants within the team.
  • Build trusted relationships across the firm with lawyers, partners and stakeholders.
  • Forecast future resourcing needs based on pipelines, growth and strategic initiatives.
  • Help drive change, strengthen the resource management function and support integration across practice groups.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
