We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of Working Capital Client Director.

You’ll report to Regional Director, Working Capital Client Management and will be responsible for looking after a portfolio of clients with Receivables Finance and Trade facilities, managing their facilities with us and ensuring all risks presented are mitigated whilst also identifying opportunities to grow their business with us. Clients are predominately in the MME and Leverage segment.

In this role, you will:

  • Act as the face of the bank, positioning HSBC as the key GTS provider
  • Assist in establishing new client relationships and strengthening existing ones, whilst ensuring fair outcomes for all types of customers
  • Assist in the communication of new products, propositions and relevant market information to customers
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, which may include relationship managers and product specialists, to maximise cross-selling opportunities for the bank
  • Support plans and strategies to generate new business for both ‘new to bank’ and existing HSBC customers in order to achieve asset growth, sales or revenue targets
  • Protect the bank's reputation and ensuring an acceptable risk profile, whilst deepening your understanding of the client through credit and customer due diligence reviews

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  • Experience of interacting with business customers at a senior and strategic level
  • Demonstrable evidence of managing and structuring high value, complex working capital facilities
  • Working knowledge of GTS services, products and techniques
  • Experience of managing and/or structuring ABL facilities will be favourable
  • Detailed knowledge of Financial Crime Risk and Credit Risk including techniques to mitigate risk
  • Knowledge of Commercial banking’s proposition and product capabilities
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to build strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent level of business acumen and commercial awareness, including economic, cultural, procedural and regulatory issues

The base location for this role is Worthing or Guildford, operating a Hybrid working pattern.
