Job Description

Job Ref: APR26-4

An opportunity to join AP Racing’s Specialty OE team in a customer-facing engineering and account management role. You will work with low-volume OEM customers to deliver high-performance braking systems from concept through to production.

This role focuses on owning customer relationships, ensuring successful programme delivery, and maintaining strong commercial performance across existing accounts.

You will act as the key interface between the customer and internal teams, ensuring projects are delivered to scope, timing, and cost while identifying and escalating new opportunities within existing accounts to support growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and manage key Specialty OE customer accounts on a day-to-day basis
  • Oversee programme delivery from concept through to production
  • Lead cross-functional teams to ensure delivery against customer expectations
  • Maintain strong customer relationships through consistent, high-quality communication
  • Monitor sales, margin, and programme performance across accounts
  • Support RFQs and proposals alongside the commercial team
  • Identify and escalate new opportunities within existing accounts to support the wider commercial team
  • Manage timing plans, supply requirements, and delivery schedules
  • Attend customer meetings, test sessions, and programme reviews as required
  • Capture customer feedback and feed into internal product and process improvements
  • Support commercial discussions and contract execution

Competencies and Experience

  • Experience in an engineering, project, or account management role
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with demanding OEM customers
  • Strong organisational and delivery focus
  • Confident managing challenging customer situations while protecting AP Racing’s commercial position
  • Ability to manage multiple programmes and priorities
  • Good commercial awareness (cost, margin, timing)
  • Strong interpersonal skills and customer handling
  • Engineering degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience in automotive, motorsport, or mechanical engineering preferred
  • High level of personal ownership and accountability for outcomes
