Mechanical Supervisor
Meridian are working with a well-established MEP contractor near Deeside that are growing a new Mechanical division and have opportunities for an ambitious Working Mechanical Supervisor to be involved with the installation, service, repair and maintenance of Commercial Plumbing, Heating & Renewable systems, as well as short-term call outs. Projects consist of small works, maintenance contracts, and full site installations. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a new and exciting growth period, where progression and further opportunities may be available for the right person. Requirements for the role
- Blue or Gold Plumber/Heating Engineer/Pipefitter CSCS card
- CSCS Plumber or Pipefitter
- NVQ Level 2/3 Diploma in Plumbing & Heating
- IPAF not essential but is beneficial
- SSSTS/SMSTS not essential but is beneficial
- Experience of commercial installation & maintenance contracts
- Minimum of 10 years experience with Mechanical Building Services
- Full, clean UK Driving Licence
Duties
- Mixture of installation and Supervising (c.90% Hands-On Installation/10% Supervising)
- Ability to work on mechanical building services, including plumbing, heating, hot & cold water systems, sanitaryware, drainage etc.
- Overseeing installation of plumbing and heating systems on commercial, domestic, and industrial sites
- Working alongside other trades and subcontractors
- Guiding and supporting teams of workers carrying out the installations
- Working on the installation or helping to guide other engineers and subcontractors
- Ability to read drawings and work closely with management teams to achieve project goals
- Ability to work independently on set tasks, or in larger teams when required
- Attend emergency call outs to diagnose and repair issues efficiently
- Working to deadlines for project delivery, with excellent time-keeping skills
- Full understanding and compliance with onsite HSE
- Willingness to learn and progress
