Workplace Experience Ambassador

Location:
Landmark Building, St Peter's Square, 1 Oxford Street, Manchester, M1 4PB, UK.

Contract:
Inside IR35 (Umbrella)

Duration:
ASAP - 14 May 2027 (potential extension or permanent opportunity)

Hours:
16 hours per week, Monday-Thursday (9:30 AM - 12:30/1:00 PM)

Role Overview

We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Workplace Experience Ambassador to support workplace operations within a busy multi-tenanted business building in central Manchester.

This is a hands-on, front-of-house role responsible for delivering an exceptional workplace experience for employees, visitors, and stakeholders. The successful candidate will take ownership of the office environment, ensuring the space remains welcoming, professional, organized, and fully operational while building strong relationships with occupiers, visitors, and the building landlord.

Initially offered as maternity cover, this position has the potential to convert into a full-time permanent role after approximately 9 months.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver outstanding customer service to all internal and external visitors.
  • Act as the main point of contact for front-of-house and workplace-related enquiries.
  • Meet and greet visitors and provide a professional first impression.
  • Conduct daily workplace inspections and walkarounds.
  • Ensure office areas, meeting rooms, and communal spaces remain clean, tidy, and presentable.
  • Coordinate meeting room, event, and workspace setups, including furniture, signage, and equipment.
  • Maintain room booking schedules and workplace event calendars.
  • Liaise daily with the landlord and building management team regarding workplace matters.
  • Proactively identify and resolve workplace issues.
  • Support facilities and workplace services activities as required.
  • Maintain workplace records and administrative updates using company systems.

Essential Requirements

  • Previous experience in a customer-facing environment.
  • Experience within Reception, Front of House, Concierge, Hospitality, Workplace Experience, Facilities, or similar environments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Professional, polished, and confident when interacting with senior stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and workplace systems.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of a workplace environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and proactive approach to problem solving.
