About The Role
As the Workplace Experience Lead, you will own and continuously improve the workplace and employee experience across the business. You'll create an inclusive environment where employees can do their best work, feel connected to our culture, and have a positive experience throughout their employee journey.
This is a hands-on role that combines workplace operations, employee engagement, project ownership, and strategic thinking. You'll work closely with People, IT, Operations, and business leaders to deliver a high-quality workplace experience while driving initiatives that improve engagement, culture, and ways of working.
Key Responsibilities
Workplace Operations
- Own the day-to-day workplace experience, ensuring the office is safe, welcoming, well-maintained, and operating efficiently.
- Manage workplace vendors, services, and facilities relationships.
- Own workplace budgets and monitor spend across workplace initiatives and events.
- Establish and continuously improve workplace processes, standards, and service levels.
- Act as the escalation point for workplace issues and ensure timely resolution.
Employee Experience & Engagement
- Design and deliver employee experience initiatives, including onboarding, recognition, wellbeing, celebrations, and engagement activities.
- Own and manage the annual workplace and employee experience calendar.
- Lead the planning and delivery of company events, team activities, and cultural initiatives.
- Partner with managers and senior leaders to support employee engagement and recognition programs.
- Create inclusive experiences that support both in-office and hybrid employees.
Projects and Continuous Improvement
- Lead workplace projects, including office improvements, workplace changes, and large-scale events.
- Manage project plans, budgets, timelines, and stakeholder communication.
- Gather employee feedback and use insights to improve workplace experiences and programs.
- Track and report on workplace and engagement metrics, identifying opportunities for improvement.

Leadership & Partnership
- Provide guidance and support to Workplace Experience team members and help maintain high standards across the function.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across People, IT, Operations, and the wider business.
- Influence decisions and drive workplace initiatives that support business goals and company culture.
- Take ownership of high-impact initiatives and deliver measurable outcomes.
Additional Responsibilities
- Support the day-to-day running of the office, helping to keep spaces clean, organised, and fully stocked with supplies and equipment.
- Assist with managing post, deliveries, and visitor coordination, ensuring a smooth and welcoming in-office experience.
- Help prepare meeting rooms and shared spaces, making sure they are set up and ready for use.
- Support the setup and delivery of in-office events, team activities, and workplace initiatives.
- Assist with onboarding by preparing desks, coordinating logistics, and helping create a positive first-day experience for new joiners.
- Contribute to employee recognition efforts, including cards, gifts, and small “surprise & delight” moments.
- Respond to workplace requests and tickets, providing support on basic queries and escalating more complex issues when needed.
- Support the team with data tracking, simple reporting, and administrative tasks.
- Contribute to small projects and lower-complexity initiatives within the WEX team, building confidence and ownership over time.
- Communicate clearly with teammates and stakeholders, ensuring tasks are completed reliably and issues are escalated appropriately.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years Experience in Workplace Experience, Office Management, Employee Experience, Facilities, Operations, or a similar field.
- Experience leading workplace initiatives, projects, events, or employee engagement programs.
- Strong organisational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Experience managing vendors, budgets, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Comfortable balancing strategic planning with hands-on execution.
- A proactive mindset with a passion for creating exceptional employee experiences.
