About the Opportunity
A global data storage technology company is looking for an experienced Workplace Investigator with 6+ years' experience in employee relations and workplace investigations across EMEA for a 3–6 month engagement.
The work will involve providing coverage for the company's EMEA employee relations function. The investigator will serve as an objective investigator and trusted escalation point for complex, high-risk employee matters, partnering closely with Employment Counsel and reporting to the Head of Global Employee Relations while supporting a fast-paced global team. The ability to hit the ground running with minimal onboarding is key.

Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end investigation lifecycle for allegations including harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and policy violations
- Conduct structured witness interviews, analyze evidence, and produce legally defensible investigation reports
- Ensure alignment with local statutory requirements, including the ACAS Code of Practice in the UK, and internal global standards
- Manage formal grievance and disciplinary processes across multiple European jurisdictions, with some APJ support
- Partner with Employment Counsel to assess the legal and reputational risk of findings and translate outcomes into recommendations for leadership
- Apply conflict resolution and mediation where a formal investigation isn't required
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date case management documentation
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of hands-on experience in employee relations, workplace investigations, or employment law in a global or matrixed organization
- Proven track record of independently managing complex ER cases across multiple European jurisdictions
- Strong practical knowledge of EMEA employment and labor law and grievance frameworks
- Extensive experience drafting formal investigation reports and executive summaries
- Ability to advise and build trust with senior leadership, and to manage a high volume of sensitive matters with discretion
- Bachelor's degree

Preferred Qualifications
- Investigative experience in the UK, Ireland, or the Czech Republic, and advisory exposure in APJ
- Background in the technology sector or a high-growth commercial environment
- Experience with leave of absence and disability accommodation cases
- A JD or relevant HR certification (attorneys welcome but not required)

- Compensation: $50 per hour
