Workplace Services Manager | ISS Facility Services
Location: Bath & Bristol
ISS Facility Services is looking for an experienced Workplace Services Manager to lead the delivery, performance, and development of integrated facilities services across client sites in Bath and Bristol.
Reporting to the Regional Workplace Manager, you’ll lead a multi-skilled team of around 9 colleagues across cleaning, security, and workplace coordination, while supporting service delivery at an additional Bristol site.
This is a hands-on, client-facing leadership role combining people management, operational delivery, compliance, customer experience, and commercial accountability.
The Role
You will:
- Lead, motivate, and develop a multi-skilled team across the Bath and Bristol sites.
- Own the delivery of integrated facilities services, including Cleaning, Security, Helpdesk, Engineering, and Workplace Services.
- Hold P&L accountability for the financial performance of your sites.
- Ensure robust Health & Safety, statutory compliance, security, and operational risk management.
- Drive performance against agreed SLAs, KPIs, and client expectations.
- Build strong relationships with clients, building users, suppliers, landlords, and ISS stakeholders.
- Oversee PPM, reactive works, audits, quality assurance, and incident management.
- Manage performance, appraisals, training, recruitment, and development across the site teams.
- Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement, innovation, and efficiency.
- Act as the escalation point for operational issues and ensure service failures are addressed proactively.
- Provide clear operational and financial reporting to Account Directors.
- Support the Regional Workplace Manager and wider ISS initiatives, including leadership development and business continuity.
- Provide annual leave cover and operational support at a client site in Pontypridd when required.

About You
You’ll be an experienced Facilities Management professional with a strong track record in a customer-facing, integrated FM environment.
You’ll bring:
- 5+ years’ FM management experience, including hard services and security.
- Experience overseeing M&E/engineering and soft services.
- Proven experience leading and developing operational teams.
- Strong commercial and financial awareness, ideally with P&L responsibility.
- Experience managing clients, suppliers, and multiple stakeholders.
- A strong understanding of Health & Safety, statutory compliance, and operational risk.
- Experience using performance data to improve service delivery and identify opportunities.
- Excellent communication, influencing, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple sites.
- Relevant professional qualifications and/or a strong time-served FM background.
