Workplace, Safety and Sustainability Coordinator (Fixed-Term Contract)
Location: Exeter
Contract: Fixed-Term Contract
Hours: 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday (5 hours per day)
Salary: £23,215 per annum (pro rata for 25 hours per week)
Start Date: To be discussed at interview

We're looking for a proactive and organised Workplace, Safety and Sustainability Coordinator to support the delivery of workplace safety, facilities and sustainability activities across the organisation.
About the Role
This is a varied and rewarding role that combines workplace compliance, facilities coordination and sustainability support.
You will play a key part in helping Taking Care maintain a safe and compliant working environment while contributing to our environmental, social and governance (ESG) objectives. Working across multiple departments, you will coordinate reporting activities, maintain accurate records, support compliance programmes and help drive initiatives linked to our carbon reduction plan and ESOS compliance.
Success in this role requires excellent organisation, attention to detail and the ability to build positive relationships with colleagues and external partners.

Key Responsibilities
Sustainability and ESG
- Coordinate ESG data collection and reporting activities.
- Support carbon footprint tracking and environmental reporting requirements.
- Assist with ESOS compliance activities and evidence gathering.
- Monitor sustainability actions and support delivery of the Carbon Reduction Plan.
- Promote sustainability initiatives and employee engagement activities across the business.
Facilities and Property
- Act as a central point of contact for facilities and workplace issues.
- Liaise with contractors, landlords and service providers.
- Maintain records of statutory inspections, testing and building compliance activities.
- Support workplace improvement projects.
- Process invoices and support facilities-related cost tracking.
Workplace Safety
- Support accident and incident reporting processes.
- Maintain health and safety records and documentation.
- Coordinate risk assessment reviews and action tracking.
- Manage DSE assessment records and programmes.
- Arrange workplace safety training, including Fire Warden and First Aider training.
- Coordinate fire alarm testing and evacuation drills.
- Support internal and external audits.

- Experience in a coordination, administration or compliance-focused role.
- Excellent organisational and record-keeping skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately.
- The ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience working with data, spreadsheets and reporting tools.
- A proactive and solution-focused approach.
Desirable experience includes:
- Health and safety compliance.
- Facilities or property administration.
- ESG, sustainability or environmental reporting.
- Coordinating external contractors or assessors.
