DESCRIPTION & REQUIREMENTS
On behalf of The Government Property Agency, we are looking for a Workplace Services Manager for a 6 Month (Until 9th April 2027) contract based in Birmingham (Fully on site).
The Government Property Agency is an Executive Agency of the cabinet office. It is changing the way the Civil Service works and is at the forefront of Government's transformation agenda; reshaping the relationship civil servants have with their place of work. The Agency is central to the delivery of key Government policies including moving 22,000 Civil Service roles out of London by 2030 and tackling climate change by contributing to the Net Zero agenda. To do this we are delivering a major change programme across the UK and consolidating our portfolio in order to save £1.4 Bn over 10 years.

This is an ambitious and exciting task, for which we need innovative people, with strong commercial acumen, who are passionate about visualising and implementing customer needs.
About the Role
As a Workplace Services Manager, your main responsibilities will be:
- Coordinate the delivery of high-quality workplace and customer services across a cluster of sites, supporting a consistent and positive workplace experience.
- Work closely with the Area Workplace Manager and key stakeholders to understand operational requirements, resolve workplace issues and ensure services meet customer needs.
- Support the effective use and optimisation of buildings, identifying opportunities to improve workplaces in response to changing business requirements and ways of working.
- Coordinate contract and service delivery activities, liaising with supply chain partners to support performance, address issues and maintain required service standards.
- Manage and coordinate business and accommodation support activities, ensuring workplace requirements are effectively planned, communicated and delivered.
- Build effective relationships with customers, colleagues and the wider community

Essential:
- Strong customer service skills, with a passion for delivering an excellent workplace experience and responding effectively to customer needs.
- Experience coordinating workplace, facilities, property or operational services across one or more sites or locations.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to build productive relationships with colleagues, customers, suppliers and senior stakeholders.
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple activities and requirements in a busy operational environment.
- Experience working with suppliers or service partners, including monitoring service delivery, resolving issues and supporting effective contract performance.
- A proactive and continuous-improvement mindset, with the ability to identify opportunities to improve services, optimise workplace use and adapt to changing business requirements.
Please be aware that this role can only be worked within the UK and not Overseas.
