We’re partnering with a highly regarded, long-established UK law firm to appoint an experienced Workplace Services Manager to join its London-based Operations team. This is an excellent opportunity for a workplace, facilities, or operations professional who enjoys combining hands-on operational leadership with service improvement, people management, and strategic delivery.
The role
As Workplace Services Manager, you’ll take responsibility for the day-to-day delivery and continuous improvement of a broad range of workplace services, helping to ensure the organisation’s people have a safe, efficient, and high-quality working environment.
You’ll lead and coordinate services including:
- Mail and logistics
- Reprographics and print
- Records management
- Floor support
- Health & Safety compliance
- Property services coordination
- Offsite transcription and document production
Working closely with the Head of Front of House & Workplace Services, as well as colleagues across IT, Property, and Facilities, you’ll play an important role in ensuring workplace services are aligned with wider business objectives and delivered to consistently high standards.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the operational strategy and delivery of workplace services
- Champion a client-focused approach across internal workplace services
- Identify and implement opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement
- Manage and develop an experienced, multi-skilled team
- Oversee recruitment, training, performance, and resource planning
- Manage outsourced suppliers, contracts, and service levels
- Support property services, maintenance, security, cleaning, and minor works
- Maintain oversight of Health & Safety compliance, risk assessments, inductions, and emergency procedures
- Support office moves, refurbishments, and workplace transformation projects
- Contribute to budget management, tendering, benchmarking, and contract negotiations
- Use data and performance information to improve service delivery and inform decision-making
- Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and external contractors to deliver joined-up workplace solutions

About you
We’re looking for someone with proven experience in a workplace, facilities, or operational leadership role, ideally within a professional services or legal environment.
You’ll bring:
- Experience managing both in-house teams and outsourced service providers
- Strong supplier and contract management experience
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
- A strong understanding of Health & Safety, compliance, and business continuity
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- The ability to influence and build effective relationships at all levels
- In-depth Health & Safety experience and a relevant qualification such as IOSH or NEBOSH
