Mission

The Workplace Specialist will lead Databricks' London (EMEA HQ) operations, with full responsibility for offices in London, Stockholm, Israel, and Saudi Arabia. You will help develop strategies and implement tactical solutions to support Databricks' exponential growth across the region.

This is an exciting opportunity to grow the regional support team and manage important third-party relationships that will be the backbone of our growth. This region has over 300 employees and plans for high growth in the next 12 months. This role reports to the Senior Real Estate and Workplace Manager International.

The impact you will have:

  • Help develop and document consistent operational processes
  • Support Databricks’ continued growth, focusing on supporting the EMEA portfolio - this will include improving maintenance and overall workplace experience in existing offices, as well as being a key project team member for new office locations
  • Ensure a coverage model that supports day-to-day facility requests being completed - work as a part of REW leadership to create standards and key measures to ensure a consistent level of support globally
  • Work to improve the employee experience and support the Databricks culture
  • Set clear goals for the continued improvement of our workplace and support of our employees
  • Hire, manage, and coach staff - you will have direct oversight of Workplace Specialists and front-of-house staff, and in this role, you will be responsible for growing and developing these positions
  • Manage the REW budget for the EMEA portfolio - working with REW leadership and Finance to budget and forecast as required. This role will be responsible for staying within the budget on all operational spend

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Onsite in London
  • Management of EMEA offices located in London, Stockholm, Israel, and Saudi Arabia - with some travel
  • Business Stakeholder issues/coordination
  • Food/Beverage Management
  • Events Management
  • Working with Property Managers

What we look for:

  • Experience in understanding leases across international markets
  • Experience in office project delivery, including end-to-end tenant improvement projects
  • Facilities management experience with responsibility for operations and service delivery
  • Broad experience conducting RFPs for a variety of goods and services
  • Experience leading lease negotiations in multiple international markets
