Right across infrastructure, there’s a requirement to not only maintain, but also renew and reimagine. Whatever stage you’re at in your career, with us you’ll have an opportunity to grow and develop. Delivering essential infrastructure services for life, while being safety first, and client and customer centric in a friendly, fun and respectful environment where you are encouraged to thrive.

Where you'll be working?

We're looking for a Workplace Support Engineer to deliver responsive, user-focused IT support across M Group. In this role, you'll be the face of workplace technology, helping colleagues resolve technical issues, supporting devices and collaboration tools, and ensuring employees have a seamless technology experience wherever they work.

Working closely with internal teams, suppliers and managed service partners, you'll troubleshoot problems, drive service improvements, support technology change initiatives, and play a key role in enhancing the digital workplace. If you enjoy solving problems, providing excellent customer service, and making technology simple and effective for users, we'd love to hear from you.

What you'll be doing?

You'll be the first point of contact for colleagues needing support with workplace technology, helping to resolve issues with devices, applications, printers and meeting room technology. Whether providing support remotely or on-site, you'll focus on delivering a positive user experience and keeping employees productive with minimal disruption.

Working closely with IT teams, suppliers and managed service partners, you'll investigate and resolve incidents, identify recurring issues, and contribute to service improvements. You'll also support the rollout of new workplace technologies and transformation projects, helping colleagues adapt to new tools and ways of working.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
