Main Mission

The Workplace & Technical Operations Generalist, London is a hands-on, field-oriented generalist whose core strength is event/AV production, backed by the ability to act as EMEA's remote hands for on-site technical troubleshooting and steady-state workplace operations for the London office.

This is a generalist role, not a specialist one. What matters most is genuine curiosity about technology, the ability to pick up new tools and workflows quickly, and comfort working independently and traveling autonomously across Dublin, Paris, and other EMEA office

About the Role

AV & Event Production (EMEA)

  • Provides hands on AV setup, teardown, and live support for all-hands, offsites, and internal events across London, Dublin, Paris, and other EMEA offices, in person or remotely.
  • Helps coordinate production vendors for larger events (staging, sound, lighting, streaming) region-wide.
  • Maintains and troubleshoots AV equipment and conferencing systems across meeting rooms EMEA-wide, picking up new AV/conferencing tools as needs evolve; no specific platform expertise is required going in.
  • Runs or supports livestreaming/broadcast setup for multi-office all-hands.
  • Builds local know-how so recurring AV/event needs don't require flying in outside support each time.

Remote Hands & On-Site Technical Support (EMEA)

  • Acts as EMEA's "remote hands": travels to Dublin, Paris, and other offices to physically diagnose and fix issues (e.g. a faulty device or cabling problem) so rooms and systems aren't down for weeks waiting on a specialist.
  • Provides on-site support for meeting rooms, network closets, and building-technology touchpoints across EMEA offices.
  • Coordinates with the PREWF infrastructure team on building systems (BMS, access control, smart lighting) rather than owning strategy or configuration decisions.
  • Escalates issues beyond hands-on physical troubleshooting rather than duplicating the helpdesk team's remit.

Workplace & Facilities Operations

  • Acts as a point of contact for day-to-day workplace matters in the London office, including supplies, deliveries, and service providers.
  • Ensures meeting rooms, common areas, and shared spaces are maintained to a high standard.
  • Uses internal tools (e.g. Jira ticketing or similar) to track workplace and facilities requests.
  • Supports basic building maintenance coordination (HVAC, electrical, plumbing) with landlords and vendors; licensed electrical or certified rigging work always goes through a qualified provider.
  • Supports compliance with local health and safety requirements (fire safety, first aid coordination, risk prevention) and helps organize mandatory training and drills.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Project Support, Budget & Continuous Improvement

  • Supports vendor coordination and project tracking for regional technical and workplace initiatives.
  • Assists with budget tracking for AV, workplace, and technical equipment expenses across EMEA.
  • Identifies opportunities to improve employee experience through better tools and light automation (e.g. Notion-based workflows); curiosity here is valued, deep automation or data ownership is not expected of this role.
  • Assists with small office moves, adds, and changes involving technical systems.

Collaboration & Reporting

  • Reports directly to Stijn.
  • Works in close collaboration with the PREWFI EMEA team to ensure alignment across Workplace, Facilities, and Technical activities.
  • Partners closely with Infrastructure and Security on systems, network, and infrastructure projects.
  • Coordinates with HR, Finance, IT, Infrastructure, Security, and external contractors for smooth office operations in London and regional consistency across EMEA.
  • Regular travel to Paris, Dublin, and other EMEA offices for AV, infrastructure, and technical work — core to the role, not occasional.

We could be a match if:

  • About 5 years of relevant experience (event production, AV, technical support, or similar hands-on technical field work). Not an entry-level role: it requires working independently without close oversight, traveling autonomously, and making sound judgment calls on time and priorities.
  • A "figure-it-out" mindset: you feel energized by diving into new building automation, IoT, or infrastructure platforms and are eager to take direct ownership of their evolution.
  • A collaborative approach to IT and network fundamentals, enabling you to partner effectively with specialized teams to solve integrated technical challenges.
  • Curiosity about data and automation; you see the potential in using tools like Claude, Google Apps Script or Notion to help the team work smarter and more efficiently.
  • Hands-on and field-oriented: comfortable physically troubleshooting AV, network closets, and building-technology touchpoints without needing to escalate every issue.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with an ability to keep multiple technical threads moving forward.
  • Fluency in English is required; French or German language skills would be a wonderful asset given our regular travel and collaboration across Paris and the wider region.
  • Genuinely curious about technology and quick to pick up new tools and systems, without needing much hand-holding.
  • Stays calm and follows procedures under pressure — live event, packed room, something's not working — without getting flustered or freezing up.
