Role Overview:

We are looking for a Workplace Technology Manager to join our IT team. Reporting into the Associate Director of IT, this role will be responsible for ensuring that workplace technology services across 40 Broadway are reliable, resilient, fit for purpose, and deliver an outstanding user experience.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Own the end-to-end delivery and support of workplace technologies at the facility
  • Ensure reliable, secure, and scalable operation of workplace systems, working closely with infrastructure and security teams
  • Manage lifecycle of assets, including standards, procurement, deployment, and refresh cycles
  • Lead incident and problem management for end-user services, driving root cause analysis and service improvement
  • Work with the technical Team Managers to coordinate cross-functional teams and matrix-managed engineers to deliver projects and day-to-day service operations
  • Identify and analyse business needs, providing recommendations on how IT solutions can address these effectively
  • Deliver high-level support to VIPs and Executives, ensuring exceptional service
  • Champion user experience by gathering feedback, analysing usage data, and continuously improving services
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure all IT requirements are captured and understood
  • Oversee vendor relationships, contracts, and service performance for workplace technology providers
  • Respond to security incidents promptly, escalating to the Information Security team as required, while safeguarding the environment
  • Contribute to user training and documentation: offering guidance, training, and support to end-users on how to use systems and IT tools effectively
  • Drive adoption and change management for new tools and platforms, including communications and training

What Are We Looking For?

Personal Qualities

In this role it is essential that you are:

  • Significant experience managing workplace technology, IT operations, or end-user technology services.
  • Strong understanding of IT service management principles and operational governance.

Experience

Prior to the role it would be essential that you have:

  • Experience coordinating multiple technical teams in a matrix environment
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience supporting high-availability operational environments.

Some desirable experience that you may bring to the role:

  • Experience in large campus, broadcast, media, or event-based environments.
  • Experience with workplace technology transformation programs and office relocations.

Qualifications

Not essential to be successful in the role but you may also have the following qualifications:

  • ITIL certification or equivalent service management experience.
