Workshop Based Engineer

Full Time
As part of our continuing expansion plans, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Workshop based Generator Engineer to work on our large fleet of generators, pumps, mobile lighting towers and associated equipment for 20Kva to 2000Kva.
Duties Include
- Preparation of equipment for hire
- Fault diagnosis and repair of mechanical issues on generators, pumps and lighting towers.
- Identify parts required to facilitate effective repairs
- Carry out major repairs to minimise downtime and maximise fleet availability. Including engine repairs and major rebuilds.
- Load test on generators to ensure effectiveness of equipment.
Essential
Skills and Experience
- Possess a relevant qualification in Mechanical/ Diesel Fitting/ Plant Fitting
- Or, proven experience in a similar role repairing generators

Desirable
- Previous experience within a rental environment.
- Experience rebuilding engines. Familiar with Perkins, CAT and Cummins engines.
