Workshop Controller

As a Workshop Controller, you will assist with the daily operation of the workshop and its various components, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. You will monitor and control the use of all workshop resources to ensure maximum impact on the quality of work. The Workshop Controller will be key to maintaining high standards and ensuring the team operates efficiently, producing high-quality work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, supervise, and provide direction to our Repair Technicians, ensuring efficient operations in our new facility.
  • Oversee the high volume of structural and crash repairs, ensuring quality and safety standards are met.
  • Accurately record and interpret production metrics to drive improvements.
  • Maximize workshop productivity and efficiency by maintaining optimal operations across the team.
  • Coordinate with the Service team to keep customers updated and address any issues or complaints.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Proven leadership experience managing large teams, ideally in a high-volume or newly established workshop.
  • In-depth understanding of the vehicle repair industry, especially structural and crash repairs.
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle legislation and trade practices.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and the ability to quickly adapt to new software.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
  • Commitment to regulatory compliance and data privacy.
  • Excellent communication skills to foster teamwork and collaboration.
  • A positive, proactive attitude, professionalism, and a drive to motivate your team.
