Workshop Engineer (Telford) Pumps/ rotating equipment - £30K Basic
We are currently recruiting for a Junior Workshop Engineer to join a well-established engineering organisation specialising in industrial vacuum and mechanical equipment.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or develop their career in engineering, with full training and hands-on experience provided.
The Role
- Assist with the strip-down, inspection, repair and rebuild of vacuum pumps and associated equipment.
- Learn to diagnose mechanical faults and identify worn or damaged components.
- Carry out servicing and refurbishment work under guidance from experienced engineers.
- Assist with testing and preparing equipment for return to customers.
- Learn to read engineering drawings, manuals and technical information.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop.
- Follow company health & safety and quality procedures.

Previous workshop or engineering experience is desirable but not essential. Candidates with a relevant engineering qualification, apprenticeship, college course, or practical mechanical experience are encouraged to apply.
